Karl Overman: Birds and More

“Wandering” is definitely a well earned name for this species.  It has a small breeding range in Alaska and the Yukon but winters over a large swath of the Pacific coast of the Americas.  The Peruvian bird is still listed as “unconfirmed” in ebird.  It would be the first ebird record for the province of Ancash.  It is frustrating that four months after the sighting it is still listed as “unconfirmed” and I have heard nothing from the ebird reviewer despite my emailing ebird to find out what the problem is here.
