Karl Overman: Birds and more

The single wng bar on the Berrien County bird is intriguing. It is a rare bird in most of the Great Lakes region yet it has a habit of showing up in late fall and early winter as the bird photographed below at Westcroft Gardens on Grosse Ile, Michigan. It was first found on November 23rd by Bruce Szczechowski who was still seeing the bird as of December 29th.
