Karl Overman: Birds and more

In the four years I have been doing  digital photography, I have been struck by how often I photograph a bird and then get back to my computer to work on the photo only  to be surprised to see that the bird had been banded and that I had not noticed this in the field.  This Red-tail  at Lake Erie Metropark is an example of that phenomena.

The white specimen with a contrasting red tail, is definitely a fashion upgrade for the species.
