Karl Overman: Birds and more


It has always puzzled me why this widespread and highly migratory western species is such a rare vagrant in the east.  Of the three Michigan records, this was the first chaseable one and of course it brought out a who’s who of Michigan birders to this Lake Michigan town.  Ironically the same feeders hosted a White-winged Dove in 2016.
