Karl Overman: Birds and More


Within two miles of the Nebraska border, the tiny town of Van Tassel, Wyoming looms large for birders who are after McCown’s Longspur and Chestnut-collared Longspurs as both are easily found along the road leading south from town.  The McCown’s were particularly easy to see and photograph when the road became sandy and they liked to be walking around in the road.
