Karl Overman: Birds and More


The Indiana female was laying eggs in a waterless ditch along a dirt road in wooded country.  She would get under the relatively lush vegetation to lay eggs in the muddy bank.  This was one of the highlights of a bugs and birds trip to Newton County, Indiana by four of us from suburban Detroit--Tom Pavlik, Scott Jennex, Robert Epstein and myself.
